Sure to be a family favorite! Full of flavor. In this recipe, bacon replaces the Tasso, which can sometimes be hard to find.

Pan-fried Chicken with 8th Wonder "Tasso" Bacon Cream

  • 1/2 lb Bacon, diced

  • 1 bunch Green Onions, diced

  • 3 T 8th Wonder Spice Blend

  • 1 pt. Heavy Cream

  • 4 Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breast halfs

  • 1/4 cup Self-rising Flour

  • 3-4 T Oil, for frying

  1. In a 1 quart saucepan, slowly saute the bacon until it is well done and crispy.

  2. Immediately add diced green onions, continuing to saute for 3-4 minutes.

  3. Add the 8th Wonder Spice Blend to the pan and stir well.

  4. Add in the heavy cream, and stir well while bringing the mixture to a slow simmer.

  5. Continue to simmer the mixture, stirring often, until the cream begins to reduce and thicken (about 15 minutes).

  6. Meanwhile, coat the chicken breasts with the flour and saute them in oil until a rich golden brown.

  7. Smother the chicken in "Tasso" Cream Sauce, and pair with mashed potatoes.
